Indian sport had been crying all these years(except Cricket). Specially at Olympics, a billion ppl country hasn't won a single medal since 28 yrs(India hasn't won a single Gold medal in an individual event since its started playing for Olympics in 1900), when the history is created by Mr. Abhinav Bindra winning the first ever individual Gold Medal as a gift to Mother India.
A perfect gift for Mother India for her 61st B'day.
Thanks Abhinav for such a great gift.
Hope to see few more medals in this Olympics.

Correction to the above statement...
India has been wining medals continuously since 1996 Atlanta Olympics. here is the summary.
1996 : Atlanta olympics Bronze ( Medal after 16 years, before this .. last medal was won in hokey 1980(Gold Medal).
2000: Kernam Mellashwari (Bronze medal).
2004: Rajvardhan Singh Rathod Silver medal.
And first medal in Individual event was won in Wrestling by Khashaba Jadhav Dadasaheb, Bronze medal in Helsinki Games 1952.
However this time it was the gold won by India in any individual event..
Hope things will improve in future and we bring more medals home.
