OCT 2nd

Today is Mahatma Gandhi's day of birth. The only saint of modern times.

As a average Indian i am grown up learning about BAPU's non-violence stories which i have never been able to understand and appreciate, i believe there are million of people like me who never understood this while they were growing up. It needs immense strength to follow non-violence, & Bapu proved himself against all odds.

I am born in a free INDIA and don't know how it feels like to be a slave. I owe my freedom to Bapu & all the freedom fighters of India from the 1st war of independence to 1947.

Smoking ban comes into effect

Nice to see "Smoking ban comes into effect".
May not be good for ITC, but well many non-smokers are spared by this law. Not only non-smoker but smoker too. As they would be buying less of rolled tobacco, b'coz they can't just smoke in any place they want. So in a way saving the some bucks in their pocket as well as the most important thing "Their Health".

I love to see Govt. stand by this law as strictly as it can.

Lazy Weekends

As a wise man said "Change is the only constant thing in the world. Rest all are Changing."

God Damn it !!!
i looked at my mobile for the time and its 2.30PM & i am about to get up not after a short NAP in the afternoon but from the night sleep.

My weekends are changing from the time i adapted to the weekend culture. I used to wait for the Mondays(As Sundays were only 1/2 day holiday & Mondays were the weekly holiday for me during my school day, though i used to hate it as i missed all the FUN FILLED Sunday Serials). As i grew up and started going to college it was much fun as i never attended all the classes of the day completely(College time was like full time weekend time). When started working in some crappy software company i hated the afternoons(I got used to having nice NAP, in fact a 2 hrs sleep in the afternoon, while in college) which i can't enjoy while working. But i was gradually stacking up the 2hrs NAP Period of the week to the weekend.

In Bangaluru i used to get up at 7.30~8.00, to eat my favourite Paddu at Nalapak or some fast food center on the way to Basaveshwar Nagar(Sorry i don't remember its name [:(]). Its not because i love to get up and have my breakfast but we won't get the Paddu after 9.30. A while after i moved here, i got used to get up at 9-9.30, jess to cook either Upittu/Avalakki/or some new Dish as Breakfast. Time passed on i kept on changing with loosing the enthu to cook some favourite breakfast and started BRUNCH culture. After a while got bored with that and stared looking out for restaurants for BRUNCH(as restaurants open at 11-11.30AM in the morning). Now i don't even get up to have the BRUNCH of the weekend. If i have nothing planned for the weekend then i get up only late afternoon(2-3 PM) not because i am bored by sleeping but because my damn Hunger has gone to such a peak that i could even EAT A HORSE.

Do i really love to sleep so much ??????
i guess NO.
Why do i sleep so much till late afternoon????
i guess i have become a LAZY ASS.
How do i change this????
Keep my busy during the weekends....which i am not able to do until now. [:(]

The Great "C Ashwath"

Ashwath pulling the crowd to madness by his songs at the Kannadotsava-2008 organised by KKNC(Kannada Kutta of North California). The picture quality are low as i have taken them with cell phone.

It may be B'lore Palace grounds or some auditorium at any city/town/village.....Ashwath is a ROCKING Star.

Morya re !

It's Ganesh Chaturthi, the birthday of Lord Ganesh, this September 3.

Ganesha, the lord of success and the destroyer of obstacles, is brought home and honoured with prayers, sweets... and lots of love. Found this interesting picture of my favorite GOD which many MANGERS use for their presentation about team work & stuff.

Sarah Palin.....The Hottie from cold country

Following the American primaries '08 was a huge fun for me.  After the primaries the '08 election colors faded till the entry of a HOT PIE from a cold country. I don't know how much this hottie would help Republicans, but i will be happy to see her performance in the elections. Lets wait & watch will she boost the McCain campaign like her first entry or will take the campaign to a different path itself.

Usain Bolt Rockzzzz...

Watching the '08 Olympics is more Fun than ever, as India has won more than one individual medals and am expecting one more at least. Watching Phelps breaking a record after another was a starting part of it. After the history created by Phelps comes the new lighting by name "Usain Bolt" nicknamed as "Lighting Bolt". A 22 yrs guy rocking from a tiny island called Jamaica in Caribbean, who broke the record of both 100mts and 200mts. I felt like this guy is walking the race and all the other ppl are struggling hard to reach the end.

A truly amazing guy with so much of strength.

I congratulate both Phelps and Bolt for their amazing performance.

Perfect Gift for 61st B'Day

Indian sport had been crying all these years(except Cricket). Specially at Olympics, a billion ppl country hasn't won a single medal since 28 yrs(India hasn't won a single Gold medal in an individual event since its started playing for Olympics in 1900), when the history is created by Mr. Abhinav Bindra winning the first ever individual Gold Medal as a gift to Mother India.

A perfect gift for Mother India for her 61st B'day.

Thanks Abhinav for such a great gift.

Hope to see few more medals in this Olympics.

08.08.08

The greatest sporting event on the earth started today. I am very eager to see the opening ceremony. I love to see the 7~8 years of hard work which china has put to make this an un-forgettable event.

I also LOVE to see some YELLOW metal won by my country sports person. It's been 3 decades since we had a Gold Medal for our country. After becoming some what economically stable, hope parents would advise there kids to look for some sports as a career instead of Engg & Doc.

i am keeping my figures crossed to see this.

Here is the link of India's win/loose in Olympics.
